yeah, i agree, those "pill patterns" look like blemishes that you find in pearls to me. or like air pockets when making marbles. you dont want air pockets in your glass creations, they just become fragile and dangerous to children
I swear, they make everyone in the story look "primitive" and ignorant just to make the MC/author feel better about himself.
its a trend that just gets more annoying the more you see it.
